I have a very personal “beef” with the “Khmer Issaraks” who later became the “Khmer Rouges”, as I am as much the son of my parents, as I am the son of a Thompson submachine gun (my Dad) and a Colt .45 M1911 (my Mom) who protected me in my Mom’s womb in a Jeep Willys (Lucky Luke’s Jolly Jumper of the time) on the road from Kampong Cham to Phnom-Penh, Cambodia hospital where I was born.   At the time bands of Issaraks were killing all “foreigners” (particularly French and particularly on the road from Kampong Cham to Phnom-Penh, Cambodia).   Let’s just say that if I am alive, it’s just because it was not my day (in every sense of the word), yet………;+)
